I loved it ! People were great and rooms quirky. The beds were so comfy. But. There was no heat. The room remained at 64-65 degrees. The response from the desk clerk was because it was between seasons the heat was turned off. That is not customer consideration for comfort. I hope this will be re examined

This hotel is just lovely! Great location and beautiful rooms. Even more impressive is the gracious hospitality on both our arrival and departure. Outstanding experience and we will return. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful stay at The Hotel Salem. I arrived later in the evening and was greeted by a warm smile at the front desk. Check in was seamless, and the room exceeded epectations. Incredibly clean, well equipped (outlets just where you need them) and a bed so comfortable it was hard to leave. Will recommend to all, the location is perfect and easy to get to all the local sights and great food options.

I recently had a staycation weekend at The Salem Hotel and it was top notch all around from the staff, service, food and accommodations. Truly felt like home away from home and the room was so cute, clean and quiet. They have convenient water stations on the floors for rooms too and you can bring anything you are eating or drinking to your room (or get room delivery) which was so convenient! They have a nice lounge area too decorated very cool and colorful! The staff thought of everything to accommodate any requests and were so friendly and kind. I would highly recommend to anyone and the location is in the heart of of Salem close to all the shops, eateries and entertainment. The food was terrific too - I had breakfast lunch and dinner there and enjoyed it all! I har stayed a few places in Salem and this so by far my fave so far!

The hotel Salem is a great place to stay! The hotel itself is so nicely decorated, and have a restaurant/bar right at the entrance of the hotel is awesome. They have a roof restaurant apparently, but since we were visiting In February, it was not open. Cody has been awesome. From the moment. I booked the room until arrival he had been in contact with me making sure all of our arrangements were in perfect order. I had a medical accommodation that I had forgotten to mention and Cody and the hotel staff made sure not only was that accommodated, but they were able to upgrade me to a king room with a Small deck off of the room. The bathroom, walk-in shower was luxurious, the staff was wonderful with accommodating the need for more towels, I called for ice and it was at the door in a few minutes. They also have this water dispenser in the hallways and you grab a jug which they call a barker, and you fill it with either cold water or sparkling cold water. It’s amazing, especially for somebody like me that loves to drink water. I was very, very impressed that they were able to accommodate my need at such short notice and then gave us the beautiful upgraded room at no additional charge. Everything was wonderful. It was great walking right out onto Essex Street and into the heart of everything. The only negative I would say is the parking. Having to drag your suitcases and bags into the parking garage by the Essex museum. It’s a bit of a pain but having the amazing day we had at the hotel Salem certainly makes up for it. The restaurants we went to with the people we met. Everybody was wonderful. I can’t say enough positive things about the hotel Salem. If you get an opportunity to stay there, do it! The staff were so accommodating , they make sure all of your needs are met. And like I said, Cody was my amazing point person. It was wonderful meeting him face-to-face. We had an amazing experience at The Hotel Salem during our wedding weekend! Our rehearsal dinner on the rooftop was absolutely perfect—the food was delicious, the view was stunning, and the service was outstanding. The rooftop space created such a memorable atmosphere for our guests. We also hosted welcome drinks downstairs at The Counter, and once again, the food and service were excellent. The venue offered a great mix of indoor and outdoor space, which made it easy for guests to mingle and enjoy themselves. A huge thank you to Olivia, who helped us plan both the welcome drinks and rehearsal dinner. She was incredibly helpful, organized, and made everything run smoothly. We also had a room block at the hotel, and Zach was amazing to work with—responsive, accommodating, and made the entire process stress-free. The Hotel Salem was a central part of our celebration, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Highly recommend for any wedding-related events or group stays!

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Salem! The room was absolutely stunning, and the service was even better. They contacted me a few days before the trip to make sure I had all of the information I needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was so much space in the room. I loved that I could just drop off my bags and explore the city while my room was being prepared. Another key highlight is their access to filtered water and sparkling water. They are located central to many landmarks in Salem, which made this place perfect for what I wanted to do. Would absolutely come back here for another trip!

This is the best hotel we have stayed at in Salem. It is central to everything the place has to offer. The service was superb, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. They were very attentive during our entire stay. The beds were incredibly comfy, the rooms were very clean, and the food was delicious. They even have still and sparkling water dispensers on every floor! Why would you stay anywhere else? We will definitely be back. 10/10

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Salem! The location is perfect, right in the heart of Salem and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and historic attractions. My only minor complaint was that the sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable, but everything else about our stay was excellent. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Salem.

I’ve stayed at Hotel Salem before, and I loved it just as much this time as I did the first. The location is perfect right on Essex Street, with everything within walking distance. The vibe here is unmatched, from the unique shops to the cozy cafés all around. Museums, walking tours, and trolley tours are all nearby, and the meet up spot is just about a one minute walk from the hotel, which made everything super convenient. That’s exactly why I chose to stay here again, and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were friendly, just like the last time, and the room was perfect for me and my partner. The hotel also has a bar on the main floor, which is great if you just want to relax and enjoy a drink.
